In particular this is true in the Meraner Land with its traditional South Tyrolean farming cuisine, combined with high quality international cuisine, inspired by the Mediterranean! Traditional pasta recipes and antipasti are as much part of the culinary repertoire as dumplings, barley soup and apple strudel.

Also, good home-style cuisine and the in-house home cooking of many pub and restaurants use freshly harvested local products.
